Multiple state highways across Kauai will have single-lane closures and traffic detours through June 12 for maintenance, paving, and infrastructure projects. Work includes landscape maintenance, striping, pavement reconstruction, and waterline replacement on major routes including Highway 50 and Highway 56/560.
- Highway 50 will have rolling single-lane closures from Lihue to Koloa during daytime hours for landscape work.
- Overnight closures on Highway 50 from Kipu to Omao and Omao to Lawai for rumble strip installation and pavement reconstruction.
- Highway 56/560 will have center lane closures in Lihue for waterline replacement with no left turns allowed through work zones.
- Hanalei area will have westbound lane closures with traffic detoured to Weke Road via Malolo Road through June 12.
- No lane closures or contraflow will occur on June 11 in observance of Kamehameha Day.
