Maui County is launching a paid parking program at Kamaʻole Beach Parks I and III on July 15, 2026, charging non-residents up to $10/day while residents park free. Weekend mornings before 10 a.m. will be reserved for Hawaii residents only.
- Non-resident visitors will pay $10/day, $50/week, or $150/month to park at Kamaʻole I and III paved lots beginning July 15.
- Hawaii residents park free all day with a valid state driver’s license scanned via app or pay station.
- Weekend and holiday mornings before 10 a.m. are reserved exclusively for residents at the two launch locations.
- Kamaʻole II is excluded from the initial rollout due to ongoing road repairs from the March 2026 Kona low storms.
- The nearby dirt lot across from Kamaʻole I also remains outside the program until South Kīhei Road sinkhole repairs are completed.
