TS Restaurants has signed a letter of intent to bring Kimo’s back to Lahaina at 730 Front St., partnering with local business leaders who are restoring the Chan Wa Building. The move comes nearly three years after the 2023 wildfire destroyed the original waterfront location.
- Kimo’s will reopen at 730 Front St. in the Chan Wa Building while the original 845 Front St. site’s redevelopment remains under consideration.
- TS Restaurants is partnering with Hawaii business leaders Kent Untermann and Mousa Hassan, who are leading the building’s restoration.
- The restaurant was founded in 1977 and was the first in the TS Restaurants chain, which now operates 13 locations across Hawaii and California.
