Hawaiian Council has opened a Vendor Interest Form for the ʻUlu o Lele marketplace, an interim commercial and community gathering space planned for the former Outlets of Maui site in Lahaina. The form runs July 16–26, 2026, and will inform a formal Request for Proposals to be released at a later date.
- ʻUlu o Lele (‘Growth of Lele’) is a planned interim marketplace at the former Outlets of Maui site designed to restore economic activity in Lahaina during long-term rebuilding.
- A Vendor Interest Form — open July 16–26 at uluolele.com — is the first step in vendor selection and will shape the formal RFP; completing it does not guarantee participation.
- Eligible participants include businesses, nonprofits, cultural practitioners, farmers, and food vendors with a connection to Lahaina.
- Participation models being considered include shared retail, cooperative marketplace, rotating pop-ups, and seasonal arrangements.
- A five-member community advisory committee, including representatives from the County of Maui and Lahaina community groups, will guide the vendor selection process.
