A UH Mānoa theater production inspired by the 2023 Lahaina wildfires will perform four shows in Lahaina on August 7–8, 2026, as part of the Festivals of Aloha. The hana keaka (Hawaiian theater work) focuses on healing and community connection, not the tragedy itself.
- Four performances of ‘Lele Wale’ are scheduled for August 7–8 at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa’s Haleakalā Ballroom, with tickets at $35 general admission.
- The production was written and directed by a Maui native and features six cast and crew members from Maui, including three from Lahaina.
- The show is presented in partnership with Festivals of Aloha, with support from Hawaiian Airlines and the Wave of Harmony Foundation.
- The performances mark nearly three years since the 2023 wildfires and are intended to offer the Lahaina community a space for reflection and healing.
