Maui County’s East Maui Water Authority is accepting grant applications from Aug. 12 to Oct. 1, 2026, with $150,000 available for projects supporting watershed restoration, education, and cultural knowledge-sharing in East Maui communities.
- A total of $150,000 in grants is available for FY2027, targeting projects in Huelo, Honomanū, Keʻanae, and Nāhiku.
- Eligible projects include watershed restoration, invasive species control, reforestation, community education, and streamflow or rainfall research.
- Free workshops are scheduled Aug. 12, 19, and 27 at various locations and online to help applicants through the process.
- Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Oct. 1, 2026; late submissions and extension requests will not be accepted.
- This is the second year of the EMWA grant program; first-time applicants are strongly encouraged to attend a workshop or schedule an office appointment.
