Pacific Rim Land is advancing infrastructure at Līpoa, a 400-acre mixed-use development in South Maui, ahead of planned groundbreakings on 122 homes and 175 affordable apartments later this year. Work includes a new highway connection, recycled water lines, and stormwater retention basins.
- A nearly one-mile Hoʻokena Street extension will create a second direct access point to Piʻilani Highway, improving traffic flow in and out of the development.
- Over 2 miles of recycled water lines will connect Līpoa to the Kīhei Wastewater Treatment Plant, allowing the community to reuse 100% of its wastewater for irrigation.
- Nine stormwater retention basins capable of holding over 17 million gallons are under construction, with completion expected in September 2025.
- Improvements to the primary Piʻilani Highway intersection are planned for 2027 to enhance safety ahead of full build-out.
- The project will add 122 market-rate homes and 175 affordable apartment units to South Maui’s housing supply.
