Hawaiian Council is accepting vendor applications through Sept. 28 for ‘Ulu O Lele, an interim marketplace at the former Outlets of Maui site that will be the first commercial presence on Lahaina’s Front Street since the 2023 wildfire. The three-acre space will house 25–50 local vendors and up to eight food trucks while permanent redevelopment continues.

- The project will occupy roughly three acres at the former Outlets of Maui site and is expected to support 25–50 vendors and nearly 90 jobs.
- Monthly rents are estimated up to $1,500 depending on space size (144 or 240 sq ft) or food truck spot.
- Priority in vendor selection goes to businesses directly impacted by the 2023 wildfires or those with Lahaina ties, though all Maui-based businesses may apply.
- The marketplace is positioned as an economic bridge for West Maui while long-term commercial redevelopment of Lahaina is still in progress.
