The Hawaii Energy Policy Forum is hosting a four-part online webinar series from October through December covering solar farming, electrical grid disaster preparedness, and liquefied natural gas. Sessions run Thursdays from noon to 1 p.m. and are open to all Hawaii residents.
- The ‘Power Up’ series begins Oct. 22 and runs through Dec. 3, with all sessions held online from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursdays.
- A two-part November session will examine whether Hawaii’s electrical grid is adequately prepared for severe storms and disasters.
- The December session will debate whether liquefied natural gas should play a role in Hawaii’s energy mix, weighing cost benefits against clean-energy goals.
- The series is organized by the Hawaii Energy Policy Forum, a University of Hawaii–affiliated group representing utilities, government, and environmental organizations.
- Registration is free at hepfpowerup.com.
