Hawaiian Airlines has launched the first of three special aircraft liveries celebrating Disney’s upcoming live-action Moana film, as reported by multiple aviation and local news outlets. The promotional campaign ties into the movie’s July 2026 theatrical release and includes planes serving routes to and from Hawaii.
- First livery unveiled June 11 on Airbus A321neo (N227HA) that operates routes connecting Hawaii to US West Coast and Cook Islands
- Two additional designs launching in July 2026 on an A330 transpacific aircraft and Boeing 717 for interisland flights
- All liveries feature ‘Voyage beyond the reef’ message with characters including Maui as a hawk, Kakamora, and Moana’s animal companions Heihei and Pua
- Interior cabin designs include character artwork on overhead luggage bins
