The Hawaii DOT has scheduled multiple lane closures across Maui through July 10, 2026, affecting Honoapiʻilani Highway and other major routes. Several Lahaina-area closures are 24/7 due to ongoing drain line and catch basin replacement work.
- Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30) sees the heaviest impact, with closures stretching from Wailuku through Lahaina for projects including tree trimming, utility work, and guardrail replacement.
- Two 24/7 lane closures are in effect near Prison and Dickenson Streets in Lahaina for drain line replacement and catch basin work, with one lane remaining open in each direction.
- A lane closure near Māʻalaea (MM 6.3–6.7) runs Thursday–Friday for utility pole installation and transformer removal, potentially affecting guests traveling to West Maui.
- All closure schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change without notice; a full map is available at hidot.hawaii.gov.
