Multiple sources report that Maui County’s Office of Recovery is holding a public open house on July 15, 2026, for wildfire-impacted homeowners to meet the contractor selected for the Hoʻokumu Hou reconstruction program. - Goodfellow Bros. Inc. is the general contractor selected to build homes through the County’s Hoʻokumu Hou Single-Family Homeowner Reconstruction Program
- Sample home designs, 3D models, renderings, and floor plans will be available to view at the event
- The program offers eligible homeowners up to $1.2 million to rebuild a primary residence destroyed in the 2023 wildfires
- Eligibility extends to households earning up to 140% of Area Median Income (AMI)
- Homeowners who have already received FEMA, insurance, or other disaster recovery funding may still qualify
