Alaska Airlines will deploy its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on the Seattle (SEA) to Kahului (OGG) route during Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year holiday windows. The widebody upgrade adds capacity and comfort on one of Maui’s busiest leisure travel corridors.
- The 787-9 will operate one daily SEA–OGG flight Nov 21–30 and Dec 17–Jan 4, covering peak Thanksgiving and winter holiday periods.
- The larger aircraft increases seat capacity on the route, potentially easing booking availability for guests traveling to Maui during the highest-demand weeks of the year.
- Seattle acts as a connecting hub for passengers from Portland, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, and other mainland cities heading to Maui.
- Kahului Airport (OGG) remains the primary gateway, and the added widebody service supports continued strong visitor interest in Maui this winter season.
