Maui-based reggae artist Marty Dread is releasing two new vinyl albums featuring Jamaican music legends and is set to perform at The Ritz-Carlton, Maui Kapalua. The releases include collaborations with members of The Wailers and Bob Marley’s engineer.
- Marty Dread will perform at The Ritz-Carlton, Maui Kapalua on Friday, August 8.
- His album ‘In Your Eyes’ reimagines classic rock and country songs in authentic Jamaican reggae style, remixed by Bob Marley’s engineer Errol Brown.
- A second album, ‘Positive People,’ is due mid-August and features legendary reggae rhythm section Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare, plus members of The Wailers.
- Both releases are on vinyl, which Dread says is seeing renewed interest especially among younger buyers.
