The County of Maui Office of Recovery is hosting a free community gathering for Lahaina kūpuna on August 19 at the Lahaina Civic Center, featuring Hawaiian music, food, and on-site recovery resource providers. The event runs 3–6 p.m. and is open to the public.
- The free Hot Kūpuna Nights event takes place August 19, 2026, from 3–6 p.m. at the Lahaina Civic Center Social Hall.
- Representatives from fire recovery, legal aid, behavioral health, and senior services organizations will be on-site to connect attendees with resources.
- Live Hawaiian music by Kuʻuipo Kumukahi & Friends starts at 4 p.m.; attendees are welcome to bring ukuleles and participate.
- RSVPs are encouraged in advance at mauirecovers.org/events; food will be provided at no cost.
