- For the first seven months of 2026, Maui hosted 1.6 million visitors and $3.88 billion in spending, up 11.3% over the same 2025 period.
- Maui’s visitor recovery now stands at 83.4% compared to pre-wildfire July 2023 levels, still about 9.8% below the pre-fire year-to-date pace.
- Average length of stay statewide dropped significantly to 7.59 days from 8.83 days in July 2025, even as per-day spending rose 17.1%.
- August data — which will capture the impact of Tropical Storm Lala on visitor activity — won’t be available until September.
