Mayor Bissen is hosting a series of community budget meetings across Maui County through November to gather resident input for the Fiscal Year 2028 budget, which takes effect July 1, 2027. Property owners can attend in person, submit written feedback online, or watch sessions on the county’s Facebook page.
- Eight budget meetings are scheduled county-wide from September 16 through November 12, 2026, covering Upcountry, Central, South, and West Maui, plus Molokaʻi, Lānaʻi, and Hāna.
- Residents can submit budget requests via an online form at mauicounty.gov/budget if they cannot attend in person.
- The FY2028 budget cycle begins July 1, 2027, giving property owners a window to advocate for infrastructure or services that affect their areas.
- Meetings run from 5 to 7 p.m. and will be livestreamed on the County of Maui Facebook page.
