Ho’okipa Beach Park will be closed to the public from Thursday evening through Saturday evening for the first-ever state high school surfing championships. Spectators must use free shuttles from off-site parking on Holomua Road.
- Ho’okipa Beach Park closes Thursday 5 PM through Saturday 5 PM for competition use only.
- Free shuttle service will transport spectators from Holomua Road parking lot starting 6 AM Friday and Saturday.
- No spectator parking will be available at the beach park during the event.
- Competition runs Friday 7 AM-4:30 PM and Saturday 7 AM-2:30 PM with 174 student athletes competing.
- Motorists should expect traffic delays and drive cautiously in the Ho’okipa area during the event.
