Police arrested a 34-year-old Kahului man in connection with an armed vehicle theft from a couple on Hāna Highway near Ho’okipa Beach. The victims were struck by projectiles during the June 10 robbery but were treated and released at the scene.

- Police used vehicle tracking, drones, and helicopter searches to locate the abandoned stolen vehicle in the Haʻikū area.
- Both victims, ages 46 and 53, were treated by medics at the scene and released with no serious injuries reported.
